Jump to IUCLID Cloud and reap the benefits
The IUCLID Cloud for SMEs offers small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) and their consultants a simpler way to prepare registration dossiers. Originally launched in August, you can work online without needing to install or manage IUCLID updates, get data stored and safe at ECHA, and have fully managed back-ups with 24/7 availability of service. In December, the cloud service will take it up another notch with integrated step-by-step advice on how to build a complete REACH registration dossier for the REACH 2018 deadline.
ECHA will launch the third major release of the IUCLID Cloud services by the end of the year, following the releases of the IUCLID Cloud Trial in April and the first version of the IUCLID Cloud for SMEs in August. The new release will offer features that further help you with your tasks. You will be able to:
Check your dataset with the Validation Assistant;
See what information from your dossier will be published on ECHA’s website;
Automatically generate your chemical safety report;
Access and submit your dossier directly from REACH-IT without needing to upload it before you submit; and
Access specific help texts for each task you need to perform.
Why IUCLID Cloud?
Whether you are an SME or a consultant working for one, the IUCLID Cloud will bring benefits that will help you prepare your dossier. If you are an SME, you:
No longer have to download and install the application – and its regular updates – onto your desktop computer or your IT servers.
Will not lose any data as it will be stored and backed up by ECHA. You can also reduce the number of local copies of your data.
Get a secure IT environment – the cloud solution is fully private and built within ECHA's infrastructure. Your cloud user data cannot be accessed by anyone else.
Can work on the data and collaborate with your colleagues anywhere, at any time.
Can share data easily and securely.
Will need fewer resources to manage the installations and hardware to host and update IUCLID.
Will get fast responses to your questions and 24/7 availability of service.
Can easily manage access to your data, also for your consultants.
If you are a consultant, you will also:
Save your clients’ money. The cloud is free-of-charge!
Provide a more transparent and interactive service to your clients, and gain their trust.
Get the opportunity to organise IUCLID trainings with the IUCLID Cloud Trial.
If you are already using IUCLID, you can easily export your data from the desktop version to the online service.
At ECHA, we have developed the cloud services specifically for SMEs and their consultants to help them prepare for the 31 May 2018 registration deadline. The IUCLID Cloud interface is simpler than the traditional IUCLID, which makes it easier to use and fit for purpose for 1 to 100-tonne registrations.
The European Commission is funding the project as part of their efforts to help SMEs comply with the requirements of REACH.
